Forget the usual meat-and-cheese board. We’re bringing a little Alaska to the party. Wild Alaskan smoked seafood, creamy dips, fresh fruit, crunchy vegetables, cheese, and all the good stuff in between make this a colorful, easy centerpiece for sharing.

Ingredients

    Smoked Seafood

    • 1 Smoked Sockeye Salmon — Traditional or Garlic Pepper
    • 1 Smoked Sablefish — rich and buttery
    • 1 Nova Lox — thinly sliced
    • 1 Wicked Smoked Salmon Dip
    • 1 Smoked Sablefish Dip
    • 1 Jar Smoked Sockeye Salmon

    Cheese & Charcuterie

    • Sharp, aged cheese, cubed or sliced
    • A creamy or semi-firm cheese
    • Assorted cured meats, thinly sliced

    Fresh Fruit & Vegetables

    • Red or green grapes; sliced apples or seasonal fruit
    • Carrot and celery sticks; cucumber spears
    • Fresh radishes (optional)

    Crunchy, Salty, & Savory

    • Crusty baguette, sliced
    • Assorted crackers and crisps
    • Marcona almonds or roasted nuts
    • Olives; roasted red peppers or sun-dried tomatoes
    • Pickles or cornichons
    • Salmon roe for garnish

    Directions

    1. Start with the dips: Spoon the smoked salmon dip and smoked sablefish dip into small serving bowls. Place them toward the center of a large wooden board or platter. Add a little salmon roe on top if you have some.
    2. Make the seafood the star: Arrange the smoked salmon, smoked sablefish, and lox in different areas of the board. Keep pieces large enough for guests to easily pick up. Open the jar of smoked salmon and place it on the board with a small serving fork.
    3. Add the cheeses and cured meats: Tuck slices and cubes of cheese around the seafood. Fold the salami and prosciutto into loose ribbons to create texture and fill open spaces.
    4. Bring in the fresh stuff: Add clusters of grapes, sliced fruit, carrot sticks, celery, and cucumber. These fresh, crisp bites balance the richness of the smoked fish.
    5. Fill the gaps: Arrange crackers, crusty bread, olives, roasted peppers, and nuts throughout the board. Use small bowls for anything that might roll or spill.
    6. Set it out and enjoy: Add a few small serving utensils, put out extra bread and crackers, and let everyone build their own perfect bite.
